Biography
I am a freelance horticulturalist with over 25 years experience of the trade, specialising in the amenity and landscaping sector.

I have broadened my horizons over the past ten years and now also specialise in both website design and wildlife photography as well as horticulture.

Born in Liskeard in 1965 to parents of Lincolnshire decent, I was brought up in the Plymouth and Saltash area, and attended Drake Primary School and Sutton High School for Boys in Plymouth, Devon.

As a teenager I had numerous hobbies and had a keen interest in both natural and local history, participating in pursuits such as metal detecting, bottle hunting, natural history, rocks and mineral collecting, sea fishing and athletics. Just don't ask me to run 800m in under 2 minutes now.

To me horticulture is not a profession but a vocation and I love gardening and working with plants, and I was incredibly fortunate also to be able to attend both Pershore and Cannington Colleges when younger.

I currently live in Nanpean, near St. Austell, with my partner Carol and our two elderly border collies; we both photograph a wide range of subject matter on our travels and place the best photographs on our websites; we both very much enjoy beachcombing, rockpooling and fishing, when able, and when the tides are right.

I am very priviledged to offer services I enjoy so much and hope many people and businesses will benefit from the wealth of knowledge I have in many subjects.

I have been unable to work for a little over a year due to arthritis, muscle pain and other problems, which I am of the opinion may be linked to Lyme Disease. I am not yet taking on work, whilst I address these problems. It is likely my problem was caused three years ago, and is the result of a bite, probably from a tick. I wish the NHS would speed things up a bit as I extremely eager to get back into work, and as yet I do not have a diagnosis.

This website at www.davefenwick.com, was designed and created as part of the coursework assignment for a Website Design and Authoring Course at Cornwall College. The course gave me an opportunity to build and design a website using Dreamweaver CS4 and look at areas in which I may promote myself in the future as part of my return to health; and under the Pathways to Work program.

It is my intention to offer all the services described in this website, in the future, when my health has improved and with my own business. However, I am still willing to hear from potential employers, who are looking for someone with the talents I offer; and where the work may be both workplace and / or home based, and on a full or part-time basis. I am especially keen to work in either the I.T., photographic or horticultural industry or environmental sector.
